3.3  Blood Pressure
 

1. Normal blood pressure: 120 / 80 mmHg.

2. Systolic pressure refers to the blood pressure when the cardiac muscles contract, while diastolic pressure refers to the blood pressure when the cardiac muscles relax.

3. The systolic pressure is 120 mmHg, and diastolic pressure is 80 mmHg.

4. Digital sphygmomanometer is used to measure blood pressure regularly to detect high blood pressure.

5. High blood pressure 

  • High blood pressure is due to a high intake of salt and salty food, smoking and a high intake of fats.
  • Effects of high blood pressure are stroke, heart disease and kidneys failure.
