Chapter 3: Squares, Square Roots, Cubes and Cube Roots
What you need to learn in this chapter

In this chapter, we will be learning about squares, square roots, cubes, and cube roots.
Squares are numbers that are multiplied by themselves, like 3 x 3 = 9. We will also learn about perfect squares, which are numbers that can be written as the product of two equal numbers, like 4 x 4 = 16. We will learn how to determine whether a number is a perfect square or not.
Next, we will learn about cubes, which are numbers that are multiplied by themselves twice, like 2 x 2 x 2 = 8. We will also learn about perfect cubes, which are numbers that can be written as the product of three equal numbers, like 3 x 3 x 3 = 27. We will learn how to determine whether a number is a perfect cube or not.
By the end of this chapter, we will be able to understand the meaning of squares, square roots, cubes, and cube roots, and determine whether a number is a perfect square or a perfect cube.
