In this chapter, we will be learning about factors and multiples.
We will start by understanding factors, prime factors, and highest common factors (HCF). We will learn how to determine and list factors for whole numbers and then generalize about factors. We will also learn how to determine and list the prime factors for a whole number and reveal the numbers in the form of prime factoring.
Next, we will move on to multiples, common multiples, and lowest common multiple (LCM). We will learn how to explain and determine the common multiples of whole numbers. We will also learn how to determine the greatest common factor (GCF) for two and three whole numbers.
By the end of this chapter, we will be able to confidently work with factors and multiples.
