Chapter 1: Indices

What you need to learn in this chapter

In this chapter, we will be learning about indices in mathematics. Indices are a way to represent repeated multiplication in a shorter form. We will learn how to rewrite numbers in index form and vice versa. We will also study the laws of indices, which help us simplify and manipulate expressions with indices. These laws will allow us to perform operations like multiplication, division, and raising to a power with numbers in index form. By the end of this chapter, we will be able to confidently work with indices and solve problems involving them.
