	Is an example of a simple machine that enables loads to be lifted easily using lesser force.

Parts of fixed pulled:-

The groove on the fixed pulley will allow the rope to pass through.

The object that wanted to be lifted will be attached to the rope and the other part of the rope that passes through the wheel's groove will be pulled. Hence, the object will be lifted.

Uses of Pulley

Many activities in our daily life use pulley.

Examples of activities that use pulley:-

1.		Raise the flag

2.		Draw water from a well

3.		Pull the trawl to the fishing boat

4.		Lifting heavy items.

Types of Pulley

Other than the fixed pulley, there are other types of pulley such as compound pulley and movable pulley.

Each pulley is made to fit the need of the activities conducted.

Pulleys are used in many fields, as examples:-

1.		In port: pulleys on cranes facilitate the work of unloading containers from ship to truck.

2.		At construction sites: pulleys on cranes facilitate the work of lifting construction materials.
