Determine horizontal distance and vertical distance between two coordinates
Coordinates In First Quadrant
7.1
Coordinates In First Quadrant
We will learn to recognize the x-axis, y-axis and origin (O).
The Cartesian system is used to determine the position of a point on the Cartesian plane.
A Cartesian plane consists of two number lines that intersect at right angles.
The point of intersection between the x-axis and the y-axis is called the origin.
The position of a point on the Cartesian plane is represented by a pair of ordered numbers (x,y) called the coordinates of the point.
