Chapter 5 : Chemical Bonds
What will you learn in this chapter

Next, we will explore ionic bonds, which occur when one atom transfers electrons to another atom. We will study examples of ionic bonds and understand their properties.
Then, we will move on to covalent bonds, where atoms share electrons. We will compare ionic and covalent bonds and learn about their differences.
Lastly, we will learn about hydrogen bonds, which occur when hydrogen atoms are attracted to electronegative atoms. We will study examples of hydrogen bonds and understand their effects on the physical properties of substances.
