What you need to learn in this chapter

This chapter aims to develop students’ writing skills, enabling them to communicate basic information clearly and effectively across various contexts in both print and digital media. Students will refine their ability to form letters and words in neat, legible print, including cursive writing, while strengthening their foundational writing skills.

The chapter also focuses on early writing development, helping students organise information appropriately, describe people and things clearly, and use correct punctuation. Students will learn to spell high-frequency words accurately and apply proper writing conventions.

Additionally, students will be guided through the writing process, including planning, drafting, and editing their work. By the end of this chapter, they will be able to express themselves with appropriate language, form, and style for different purposes, enhancing their confidence in written communication.
