  Statement is something that someone says or writes officially, or an action done to express an opinion.  
     
     
     
 
1.1    POSITIVE STATEMENT
 
     
  Positive statements tell what a person or object is and what a person does.  
     
 

a. Positive statements tell what a person or object is.

For example:

- I am 12 years old.

- The houses are big.

- She is a doctor.

 
     
 

b. Positive statements tell what a person does.

For example:

- I like to dance.

- Zaidi is writing a book.

- Dr. Afiq is examining a patient.

  Negative statements tell what a person or object is not and what a person does not like.  
     
 

a. Negative statements tell what a person or object is not.

For example:

- The watch is not old.

b. Negative statements tell what a person does not like.

For example:

- I do not like durians.

- Qistina does not like to read.
