In this chapter, students will focus on enhancing their ability to communicate information, ideas, opinions, and feelings clearly and appropriately on familiar topics. They will develop the skills needed to express their thoughts in a way that is intelligible and relevant to the context, whether in small group discussions or larger presentations.

Students will explore the concept of register, learning how to adjust their language based on the audience and situation. They will practice using appropriate communication strategies to ensure their messages are conveyed effectively, asking for clarification and offering explanations when necessary.

Through a variety of activities, students will gain the ability to ask about and explain key information from simple texts, helping them navigate conversations and extract important details. They will also practice asking for and responding to suggestions in a friendly and constructive manner.

Expressing opinions will be a key component of this chapter. Students will focus on how to share their thoughts about future plans or events, as well as offer feedback on simple advice given to themselves or others. Additionally, they will learn to express their opinions or feelings about characters, personalities, and events, honing their ability to articulate personal perspectives.

Another important aspect of this chapter is fostering interactive communication. Students will develop the skill of keeping conversations going by checking for understanding, asking follow-up questions, and providing supportive responses.

By the end of the chapter, students will be able to engage in conversations confidently, expressing their opinions and feelings while maintaining effective communication on familiar topics. They will also be prepared to navigate interactions in both spoken and written contexts with ease and clarity.
