Types of microorganisms
Bacteria, protozoa, algae, fungi & viruses.
The size of bacteria
Range from 1 to 10 μm long
Protozoa move around using:
Pseudopodia (false feet), cilia or flagellum
Algae are autotrophs because
They have chloroplast
Viruses are made up of
Nucleic acid (DNA or RNA) and capsids that are made from protein.
Role of microorganism:
Nitrogen cycle, producers, symbiont, parasite & decomposer.
Symbiont

Organisms that cause disease.
Vectors
Organisms that transmits pathogen & causes a certain disease.
Effect of pathogens on human health
Pathogen disrupts the immune system and causes sickness.
