Impulse And Impulsive Force

 Impulse And Impulsive Force

Impulse = change in momentum \((\text{kgms}^{-1})\)
  \(Ft=mv-mu\)

Impulsive force = rate of change of momentum (\(\text{N}\))
  \(F=\dfrac{mv-mu}{t}\)

  Newton's Third Law of Motion
For every action there is a reaction of equal magnitude but opposite direction

  •  Time vs impulsive force
    • \(F=\dfrac{mv-mu}{t}\)
    • \(F\propto\dfrac{1}{t}\)
    • When t \(\uparrow\), F \(\downarrow\)
